Job summary

Amazon Corporate Services Pty Ltd in Melbourne seeks a Mechanical Colo Regional Engineer to provide full lifecycle support to data centers from design inception through site maintenance. You will be the go-to engineering resource for the region, guiding projects and engaging with diverse teams to ensure reliability and cost efficiency.

The ideal candidate will have strong engineering judgment, field experience, and a track record of managing engineers and projects within data center environments.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of industrial or commercial engineering in mission critical facilities (data centers, power generation, etc).
• 4+ years of commissioning experience.
• Experience researching new designs, technologies and construction methods for data center equipment and facilities.

Responsibilities

• Review colo design inputs and submittals with colo vendors to ensure alignment with AWS standards.
• Act as resident engineer during colo construction projects: support construction, commissioning, and handover.
• Troubleshoot site/equipment issues, perform root cause analysis, and document corrective actions.
• Provide technical support to upgrades and design-solutions to improve capacity, availability and efficiency.
• Interface with partners across design, server hardware, and safety teams to maintain standards.
