Amazon is seeking an Electrical Colo Regional Engineer to own lifecycle support for data centers from design through maintenance in Melbourne. Qualifications

• Strong engineering judgement and ability to provide recommendations amid uncertainty.
• Detail- and data-oriented approach with good analytical skills.
• Experience managing engineering projects and coordinating with consultants.
• Ability to build trust and relationships with Operations, Construction and Design teams.
• Willingness to engage in fieldwork to see projects up close.

Responsibilities

• Review colo design with vendors for new Data Centers in the region, including input and submittal review.
• Act as resident engineer during colo construction projects; support commissioning and handover.
• Troubleshoot and perform RCA; create corrective action documentation for site/equipment issues.
• Provide technical support for design of existing data center upgrades to improve capacity and availability.
• Support operating partners to review and approve colo upgrade designs for reliability and efficiency.
• Interface with operating partners, design engineering, server hardware, and EHS teams to maintain standards.
• Lead concurrent projects across multiple regions and conduct site audits with risk mitigations.
