Job summary

Amazon Web Services (AWS) is seeking an exceptional Controls Design Engineer to join the Data Center Global Services team in Sydney. You will own BMS/EPMS design standards, develop CPLs and BOD documents, and coordinate with internal and external stakeholders on new builds, retrofits, and data center projects.

Qualifications

• Experience in building controls, BMS/EPMS systems, and data center environments.
• Ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage SOWs.
• Knowledge of electrical diagrams, control diagrams, and HVAC systems.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain deep expertise in building operations, mechanical plant strategies, BMS/EPMS programming concepts, control diagrams, HVAC systems, electrical lineups, one-line diagrams, and complex environmental concepts.
• Create and maintain project-specific Scope of Work documents and engineering drawings to AWS standards.
• Lead vendor selection, bid reviews, and coordination of RFI support.
• Ensure systems are deployed and commissioned to documented AWS standards.
• Travel domestically and internationally as needed to manage projects (circa 25% of the time).
