Job summary

Amazon Corporate Services Pty Ltd, part of AWS Data Center Operations, is seeking a Cluster Operations Leader to guide a growing region through expansion. You will own performance across multiple facilities, lead managers and SME teams, and set strategic direction for safety, capacity, and cost efficiency.

You will drive workforce planning, partner with delivery teams on launches, and continuously improve processes.

Qualifications

10+ years of management experience in datacenter operations or related critical environments.
Strong written and verbal communication for senior leadership.
Proven track record delivering complex projects with ownership of operations.
10+ years of people leadership experience.
Valid and active driver’s licence.

Responsibilities

Lead and develop a multi-disciplinary cluster operations management team across data centre operations, engineering operations, logistics, and decommissioning.
Drive operational performance standards for safety, security, availability, capacity, and cost across all data centre facilities in the cluster.
Partner with infrastructure delivery and region services teams to execute new data centre launches and expansions, ensuring readiness for production workloads.
Own workforce planning and talent strategy for the cluster, building a pipeline of future leaders through coaching and succession planning.
Establish and continuously improve operational processes, incident response procedures, and automation practices to increase reliability.
