Job summary

Device Technologies in Sydney seeks a highly technical D&A Manager (Data Engineering and Operations) to lead the Data Engineering and Operations team, oversee governance, and drive end-to-end data initiatives.

You will balance hands-on data platform expertise with delivery leadership, manage BAU stability, and collaborate with stakeholders to enable trusted data and actionable insights through robust governance and scalable data solutions.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in data and analytics roles with hands-on data engineering.
• Proven leadership experience managing technical teams.
• Deep expertise in cloud data and analytics platforms (Fabric, Power BI, SAP BW) with SQL/Python.
• Strong governance, security, and regulatory understanding.
• Excellent stakeholder communication and delivery management.

Responsibilities

• Establish governance frameworks for standards, security and data quality.
• Lead design, delivery, and optimisation of enterprise data platforms; ensure performance.
• Plan workforce, hire and develop capacity for the Data Engineering and Operations team.
• Manage end-to-end delivery of data initiatives with Agile practices and value alignment.
• Engage stakeholders and drive continuous improvement with KPIs.
