About the Role

As a Customs Broker, you will be responsible for managing import and export customs clearance activities while ensuring full compliance with Australian Border Force (ABF), Department of Agriculture, Fisheries and Forestry (DAFF), and other regulatory requirements.

Key responsibilities include:

• Preparing and lodging import and export declarations
• Managing customs clearances through CargoWise and relevant government systems
• Providing advice to clients on customs regulations, tariffs, duties and concessions
• Liaising with Australian Border Force, DAFF, shipping lines, airlines and other stakeholders
• Monitoring shipments and resolving customs-related issues efficiently
• Ensuring compliance with all legislative and company requirements
• Maintaining accurate documentation and records
• Supporting the operations and customer service teams to deliver outstanding client outcomes

About You

To be successful in this role, you will have:

• Current Australian Customs Broker Licence (essential)
• Experience working within a freight forwarding or customs brokerage environment
• Strong understanding of Australian customs legislation and import/export procedures
• Experience with CargoWise (highly desirable)
• Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills
• Strong communication and client relationship management abilities
• Ability to work independently while contributing to a collaborative team culture
• A proactive and customer-focused approach
