Job summary

Murrumbidgee Irrigation Ltd invites applications for a Customer Services Officer based in Griffith, NSW. This permanent full-time role focuses on delivering outstanding customer experiences and building trusted relationships with customers across MI's products and services.

You will handle enquiries, provide accurate information on accounts, billing and payments, and support customers with service requests, while maintaining data integrity and contributing to service improvements.

Qualifications

• Experience in customer service or administration.

• Proficient with Microsoft Office and business systems.

Responsibilities

We have an exciting opportunity for a motivated Customer Services Officer to join our Customer Services team. Based in Griffith, NSW, this permanent full-time role is ideal for someone who is passionate about delivering exceptional customer experiences and building strong, trusted relationships.

As a Customer Services Officer, you will be the first point of contact for our customers, providing professional, proactive and customer-focused support. You will play a key role in helping customers navigate MI's products and services, managing enquiries and requests, and ensuring every interaction is positive, efficient and solutions focused.

About the Role

Deliver exceptional customer service and build relationships with customers, ensuring every interaction is professional, positive and customer focused.

Provide accurate advice and support across MI's products, services, customer accounts, billing and payment enquiries, helping customers make informed decisions.

Resolve, coordinate and escape customer enquiries while proactively supporting customers through account management, payment arrangements and other service requests to achieve positive outcomes.

Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives by identifying opportunities to enhance the customer experience, improve service delivery and support greater business efficiency.

Maintain accurate customer records and data, ensuring compliance with organisational policies, procedures and customer service standards.

Develop and maintain a strong understanding of MI's products, services, pricing and policies to confidently support customers and colleagues.

Work collaboratively across the business to achieve team objectives, role model MI's values and contribute to a positive, safety-focused culture.

What you will bring

Demonstrated experience in a customer service and/or administrative role, delivering professional and responsive customer support.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships and provide a high level of customer service.

High attention to detail and strong organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and maintain accurate records.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office and business systems, with confidence using technology to support daily operations.

Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive, can-do attitude, with a focus on achieving positive customer outcomes.

Current Class C Driver Licence.

Certificate IV in Business Administration or equivalent qualifications and/or relevant experience in customer service or administration.
