Job summary

Goulburn Valley Water is seeking a Customer Services Officer to join our Retail Customers and Billing Department in Shepparton. You will provide frontline support across billing, tenancy, property and debt services, acting as the first point of contact for customers and helping sustain satisfaction and strong community relationships.

You will respond to enquiries across multiple channels, resolve issues promptly, and provide clear information about water and wastewater services while upholding

Qualifications

• Experience in a customer facing or administrative role (previous customer service experience highly regarded).
• Certificate III or above in Business or similar (or willingness to undertake supported study).
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to meet performance standards in a high volume of transactions.
• Knowledge of Customer Service principles and practices.
• Confidence using computer-based systems including Microsoft Office.
• Strong organisational, self-management and problem-solving skills.
• A positive attitude, empathy and genuine passion for helping others.
• A strong commitment to Occupational Health and Safety (OHS).

About the Company

We are seeking a Customer Services Officer to join our Retail Customers and Billing Department. About your new role

As Customer Services Officer you will provide front line support to our customers across billing, tenancy, property and debt services, playing an important part in maintaining customer satisfaction and building strong community relationships.

As the first point of contact for our customers, you will:

• Respond to enquiries across multiple channels
• Resolve issues in a timely, professional and customer focused manner
• Provide clear information and guidance relating to water and wastewater services

Based in our busy contact centre at the Administration Centre on Fryers Street in the heart of Shepparton’s CBD hub, you’ll work alongside a knowledgeable, supportive and collaborative customer service team. It’s an ideal environment to learn contribute and make a meaningful impact.

About you

We're looking for someone with:

• Classification GVW2: $60,255 - $80,888 + super (salary starting point is dependent upon relevant qualifications, skills, and experience)
