Job summary

JJ's Waste & Recycling, Australia’s largest family-owned waste management company, is seeking a Customer Service Officer in Sydney to be the first point of contact for customers and support daily operations.

This full-time, on-site role offers 9:00am–5:00pm hours, Monday to Friday, with hourly pay of $38.56 plus super. You will handle inquiries, provide information, and collaborate with Operations, Sales and Administration to deliver outstanding service.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in Customer Service / Call Centre or similar in a high-volume customer support role is highly regarded.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the confidence to engage professionally with internal and external stakeholders.
• A calm, solutions-focused approach when working under pressure.
• Exceptional attention to detail, with the ability to manage, prioritise and multitask effectively while meeting deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Delivering exceptional customer service by providing professional, friendly and timely support to both internal and external customers.
• Confidently managing inbound calls and customer enquiries, providing timely, accurate and solutions-focused support.
• Maintaining accurate records through efficient data entry and document processing, ensuring information is completed within required timeframes.
• Coordinating incoming and outgoing correspondence, ensuring prompt responses, effective follow-up, escalation where required, and clear communication.
• Collaborating closely with Operations, Sales, Administration and Management teams to ensure the seamless flow of information.
• Supporting the depot and wider team with general administration duties and other tasks as required.
