Job summary

Express Employment Professionals – Newcastle NSW is seeking a Spare Parts Interpreter for casual/temporary roles across automotive, heavy vehicle, earthmoving, agricultural and industrial equipment sectors. You will interpret spare parts using electronic catalogues, assist customers by phone/email/in person, prepare quotations, and manage stock and supplier liaison.

Responsibilities

• Identify and interpret spare parts using electronic catalogues and parts systems.
• Assist customers with parts enquiries via phone, email and in person.
• Prepare quotations and process parts orders.
• Source parts and liaise with suppliers.
• Manage stock levels, inventory and backorders.
• Receive, check and dispatch incoming/outgoing parts.
• Build relationships with customers, suppliers and internal teams.
• Provide exceptional customer service and technical parts support.

We are currently recruiting for Spare Parts Interpreter opportunities across a range of industries, including automotive, heavy vehicles, earthmoving, agricultural machinery and industrial equipment.

We are looking for enthusiastic, customer-focused individuals who have strong product knowledge, excellent communication skills and a passion for delivering outstanding service.

What you'll be doing

Depending on the position, your responsibilities will include:

• Identifying and interpreting spare parts using electronic catalogues and parts systems
• Assisting customers with parts enquiries over the phone, via email and face to face
• Preparing quotations and processing parts orders
• Sourcing parts and liaising with suppliers
• Managing stock levels, inventory and backorders
• Receiving, checking and dispatching incoming and outgoing parts
• Building strong relationships with customers, suppliers and internal teams
• Providing exceptional customer service and technical parts support.

About You

To be successful, you will ideally have:

• Previous experience as a Spare Parts Interpreter or in a similar role
• Strong parts identification and catalogue interpretation skills
• Knowledge of automotive, heavy vehicle, machinery or industrial parts
• Excellent communication and customer service skills
• Forklift Licence (LF) is essential
• Good computer skills and experience with parts or inventory management systems
• Strong attention to detail and organisational abilities
• A proactive attitude and the ability to work independently and as part of a team
