Job summary

SEEK is seeking a Customer Service Representative for a Solar Equipment Wholesaler in Australia and New Zealand. You will handle phone and email inquiries, enter quotes and sales orders, and assist with prepaid and credit account forms to support finance checks.

You will verify stock, issue order acknowledgments with correct pricing, book freight, track orders, and provide product data sheets. The role requires accuracy in fast-paced environments and the ability to calculate freight cubic metres

Responsibilities

• Answer phone and email enquiries politely.

• Verify stock availability and determine delivery from warehouse stock.
• Issue Sales Order Acknowledgments with correct price and due date.
• Verify customer credit terms with Accounts before releasing stock for shipping.
• Obtain packed order dimensions and book freight.
• Track and trace orders and provide updates to customers.
• Provide data sheets or product brochures as required.
• Take over-the-phone credit card payments from customers.
• Develop product knowledge to offer substitutes when items are short.

Job description

We are a leading Solar Equipment Wholesaler supplying premium products to our valued customers in Australia and New Zealand.

Reporting to the Customer Service Team Leader, the Role involves

Answering phone and email enquiries in a polite and courteous manner

Entering Quotes and Sales Orders into Computer System checking price

Providing Customers with Account Detail Forms to set up as PREPAID for first 5 transactions.

Providing customers with Credit Account Application Forms, if required for Finance to do credit checks and advise on Credit Limit Approved

Verifying stock availability to determine customers expected delivery date and which warehouse stock can come from, refer to Allocation sheets where products are oversubscribed ( Demand/ Customer Orders exceeds supply)

Issuing Sales Order Acknowledgment to customers with correct price and due date

Verifying Customer account is within Credit Terms with Accounts team before requesting stock / sales order to be released for shipping (Process of Packing slip being created and sent to relevant warehouse)

Obtain dimensions of packed order and book freight

Track and Trace orders in transit for customer updates

Provide customers with data sheets / product brochures as required

Taking over the phone credit card payments from customers.

Develop product knowledge to enable substitute products to be offered to customers when items are in short supply

The ability to work in a fast-paced environment, while maintaining a high standard of accuracy.

Ability to work out cubic metres to enable correct freight calculations
