Job summary

Seek is seeking an Accounts Payable/Receivable Officer to manage AP/AR, bank reconciliations, and compliance for a fast‑growing renewable energy distributor in Sydney. You will handle daily transactions and assist with reporting with a focus on accuracy and professionalism.

Ideal candidates will have 1–2 years of bookkeeping experience and related accounting qualifications, and proficiency with ERP/cloud software and Excel. This role is based in Sydney, Australia.

Qualifications

Qualifications and Experience

Education: Diploma in Accounting/Finance, or a Bachelor’s degree in Business/Commerce/Accounting is highly regarded.

Experience: 1–2 years of experience in a dedicated bookkeeping, transactional accounting, or Accounts Officer role.

Software Skills: Proficiency with modern ERP or cloud accounting software (e.g., NetSuite, MYOB, Xero) and intermediate to advanced skills in Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUPs, pivot tables).

Attention to Detail: High accuracy in data entry and a knack for spotting numerical discrepancies.

Communication Skills: Professional, polite, and firm manner when handling debt collection and supplier disputes.

Time Management: Ability to prioritize tasks effectively to meet strict payment and reporting deadlines.

Problem-Solving: Proactive in reconciling account variances and investigating missing documentation.
