Job summary

MEGT are hiring a Customer Service Officer based in Footscray, Melbourne, to support the Workforce Australia contract. This max-term role runs until April 2027 and involves handling face-to-face, phone, email and online enquiries, working with the Site Lead to ensure smooth day-to-day site operations.

You will build strong relationships with stakeholders, maintain admin tasks, and uphold MEGT's values as a not-for-profit delivering career opportunities.

Qualifications

• Experience in customer service and administration.

• Strong communication, prioritisation and accuracy.
• Proficiency with standard computer tools.

Responsibilities

• Serve as first point of contact for face-to-face, phone, email and online enquiries.
• Support day-to-day site operations with the Site Lead and team.
• Contribute to delivering the Workforce Australia contract.
• Handle administrative tasks and maintain records.
• Collaborate with team to ensure smooth operations.

Job description

Based in Footscray, this role is part of MEGT’s Employment Services Division, dedicated to removing barriers and creating sustainable employment opportunities for job seekers! As a Customer Service Officer, you’ll deliver a high-quality experience to job seekers whilst supporting the delivery of the Workforce Australia contract.

You’ll be the first point of contact for our site, handling face-to-face, phone, email, and online enquiries. Working closely with the Site Lead and team, you’ll ensure the smooth day-to-day operations of the site, embodying our values of being trailblazers in service, savvy in solutions, thriving in challenges, and staying united in teamwork.

Please note - this is a max-term opportunity until April 2027 providing support while an existing team member is on secondment.

About you

You bring experience in customer service and administration, with a knack for building strong relationships and achieving team goals. You’re confident handling enquiries, juggling priorities, and exceeding service standards:

• Demonstrated ability to foster positive relationships with various stakeholders
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Confidence in dealing with enquiries face to face and managing competing priorities
• High computer literacy
• Efficiency working autonomously
