EnergyAustralia is seeking a Customer Regulatory Response and Alignment Lead to drive engagement with regulators, ombudsman services and industry bodies. The role unifies customer-facing regulatory responses, submissions and investigations into an integrated view across the Customer business.
Based at Melbourne with a hybrid model (2–3 days in the office per week), it is a non-managerial individual contributor role.
Globally, energy markets are in transition to a net zero future and the entities within these markets are transforming their underlying business models to ensure that they stay relevant, sustainable and profitable. As one of Australia's largest energy providers, we are proud of our purpose to lead and accelerate the clean energy transformation. Our ability to deliver on this purpose will be dependent on our people.
As the energy sector rapidly evolves with electrification, renewables, and sustainability at the forefront, we are delivering innovative centralised energy solutions to meet the needs of modern communities.
About the Role
The Regulatory Response & Alignment Lead supports the Customer Business Unit with engagement and communication across industry bodies, regulators, ombudsman services and other statutory authorities. Importantly this role brings together a Customer portfolio view across regulatory engagement activities including regulatory responses, submissions and investigations as well as litigation and ombudsman matters, ensuring they are consistent, customer-focused and reflect an integrated Customer business perspective.
Working closely with stakeholders across Customer, the role identifies regulatory risks, issues and inconsistencies, provides guidance on response strategies, and delivers timely briefings and insights to support informed decision-making by senior leaders across Customer.
This is a newly created permanent position, based at 2MQ with a hybrid working environment of 2-3 days in the office per week. Please note this is an individual contributor position with no people leadership responsibilities.
