Job summary

Key Assets Australia is seeking a Cultural Practice Lead to drive cultural safety for First Nations children and families in NSW. You will lead cultural responsiveness, advocate for communities, and build strong alliances with Aboriginal organisations.

Flexible, hybrid work is available with a strong focus on wellbeing and community impact. The role reports to the State Director NSW and aims to promote wellbeing through culturally attuned services, policies, and capacity-building among carers

Qualifications

• Strong understanding of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander culture and advocacy for children and carers.
• Experience in child protection or foster care / out of home care.
• Ability to build alliances with Aboriginal Community Organisations and stakeholders.
• Social Work or related degree would be highly regarded but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Lead culturally responsive services for First Nations children and young people.
• Support transfer of First Nations children to ACCO per Aboriginal OHC timeline.
• Contribute to strategic and operational planning for culturally responsive services.
• Ensure policies and documentation are culturally appropriate.
• Collaborate with Social/Case Workers, Support Workers and caregivers on cultural responsiveness.
