Job summary

Key Assets Australia is seeking a Cultural Practice Lead in NSW to promote wellbeing for First Nations children and young people, driving culturally safe services. This role reports to the State Director NSW and focuses on building capacity and ensuring culturally appropriate placements and support.

The position requires strong advocacy for Indigenous communities, collaboration with carers and workers, and the ability to develop and implement strategic plans.

Qualifications

• Experience in Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander culture advocacy.
• Experience in child protection or foster care/out-of-home care.
• Ability to build partnerships with Aboriginal Community Organisations.
• Relevant qualifications in social work, psychology or counselling are valued.

Responsibilities

• Lead best practice in culturally responsive services for First Nations children and young people.
• Support transfer of First Nations children to ACCOs per project timelines.
• Contribute to strategic and operational planning for culturally responsive services.
• Ensure policies and documentation respect cultural considerations.
• Collaborate with Social/Case Workers and caregivers to build cultural capability.
