Job summary

BMFG Pty Ltd is seeking a full-time Cook to join the team in a busy commercial kitchen. You will prepare hot and cold dishes, ensure food safety, and support menu planning and ingredient estimates across catering functions.

Responsibilities include supervising kitchen staff, maintaining hygiene, and coordinating timely food preparation for catering orders at multiple locations in the Blue Mountains and Greater Sydney region.

Qualifications

• AQF Certificate III or IV in Commercial Cookery or equivalent.
• Minimum 1–2 years of cook experience in café/restaurant/kitchen.
• Knowledge of food safety and hygiene requirements.

Responsibilities

• Inspect ingredients and prepare hot and cold dishes per recipes.
• Monitor temperatures of ovens and grills and other equipment.
• Season, portion, plate and package food for consistent quality.
• Assist with menu planning and estimating ingredients.
• Maintain a clean, hygienic kitchen and ensure safety procedures.
• Coordinate food preparation for timely catering orders.
• Supervise and train kitchen staff and apprentices when needed.
