Job summary

Cura Day Hospitals Group is seeking an experienced CSSD Technician for Chermside Day Hospital in Brisbane. This permanent part-time role (16 hours per week) focuses on reprocessing and sterilising instruments to exacting standards within a hospital setting.

The successful candidate will demonstrate knowledge of disinfection principles, high efficiency, and adherence to safe work practices while working with a multidisciplinary team to ensure patient care excellence.

Responsibilities

Job description

Chermside Day Hospital features specialised, purpose-built facilities, high quality equipment, and is self-sufficient. Facilities include state-of-the-art operating theatres and procedure rooms, a spacious Post Anaesthesia Care (Recovery) Unit, comfortable Second Stage recovery room and well-appointed consulting suites. The hospital also features a self-contained sterilizing department and endoscope processing service.

We are seeking an experienced CSSD Technician to join us on a permanent part-time basis (16 hours a week).

The key responsibilities of this role include reprocessing and sterilisation of instruments and equipment according to hospital and Australian Standards.

To be successful in your application for this position, you will have:

• A knowledge of the principles of disinfection and sterilisation standards
• A high level of efficiency & accuracy
• Knowledge of and adherence to safe work practices
• The ability to manage time and workflow within a multi-disciplinary team
• Process excellent communication skills
• An enthusiastic approach in the delivery of high standard of care
• Certificate III in Sterilization Services or equivalent qualification
