Job summary

St Andrew’s Toowoomba Hospital (SATH) is seeking an experienced CSSD Technician to join our Central Sterilisation Services Department on a permanent part-time or casual basis in Toowoomba. You'll work within our HEART-valued team, perform thermal disinfection, sterilisation and instrument processing, and ensure compliance with AS/NZ standards.

We offer flexible shifts, gym access and extensive employee support.

Qualifications

• Completed or working towards Certificate III in Sterilisation.
• Demonstrated knowledge of instrumentation.
• CSSD/reprocessing experience preferred.
• Sound knowledge of AS 5369:2023 and infection prevention requirements.
• Experience with digital tracking systems.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Exceptional organisational skills and attention to detail.
• Commitment to SATH’s HEART values and quality care.

Responsibilities

• Thermal disinfection inspection, packaging and sterilising of all instrumentation for theatre and other clinical areas.
• Comply with AS/NZ standards AS 5369:2023.
• Operate, interpret and document all machinery operational requirements.
• Report and document all quality activities.
• Ensure priority of instrumentation and processes.
