The George Centre in NSW is seeking a Part Time/Casual CSSD Instrument Technician to support theatres and other clinical areas with sterilisation, packaging and instrument processing.

You will work to AS/NZS 5369:2023, GENCA standards and maintain records, with emphasis on accuracy, safety and patient care. Applicants must have a Cert III in Sterilisation, relevant checks, immunisations, and access to public transport.

Qualifications

• Experience in thermal disinfection, packaging and sterilising theatre instruments.
• Familiarity with AS/NZS 5369:2023 and GENCA standards.
• Endoscopy reprocessing experience or willingness to learn.
• Strong communication and attention to detail.
• Proficient with MS Office and data entry.

Responsabilités

• Thermal disinfection inspection, packaging and sterilising of all instrumentation for theatre and other clinical areas

• Operate interpret and document all machinery operational requirements
• Report and document all quality activities
• Ensure priority of instrumentation and processes
• Demonstrate knowledge of instrumentation

We are currently seeking a Part Time/Casual CSSD Technician to join our team.

As a member of our team, you will play an important role, in providing high quality service to theatres and other clinical areas.

As the CSSD Instrument Technician your responsibilities will include:

• Thermal disinfection inspection, packaging and sterilising of all instrumentation for theatre and other clinical areas
• Comply with AS/NZ standards 5369:2023, GENCA
• Operate interpret and document all machinery operational requirements
• Report and document all quality activities
• Ensure priority of instrumentation and processes
• Demonstrated knowledge of instrumentation
• Sound knowledge of AS/NZ AS 5369:2023
• Experience with tracking systems
• Endoscopy reprocessing experience or willingness to learn
• Demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Exceptional organisational skills and attention to detail
• Intermediate computer literacy skills - including MS office and various data bases
• An interest in promoting best practice patient care
• A focus on professional development
• Cert III in sterlisation

Other Requirements

• National Police Check
• Working with Children Check
• Proof of Immunisation against specified Infectious Diseases, including COVID-19
• Close to public transport and street parking is available
