Job summary

Bayside Health is seeking an Instrument Technician Grade 2–3 to support the Central Sterile Services Department (CSSD) in reprocessing and sterilising surgical instruments. You will ensure compliance with Australian Standard AS 5369 and hospital policies, contributing to safe patient care across multiple clinical specialties.

The role offers a fixed term part time arrangement (72 hours per fortnight) located in Frankston, with opportunities for professional development and salary packaging

Qualifications

• Experience in sterile reprocessing and the CSSD environment.
• Ability to undertake direction and training, and maintain knowledge in sterile techniques.
• Experience working in a team environment.

Responsibilities

• Reprocess and sterilise surgical instruments and equipment per AS 5369 and Bayside Health policies.
• Maintain accurate records of sterilisation cycles and QA checks.
• Collaborate with clinical teams to ensure timely delivery of sterile instruments.
