Job summary

Western Health is seeking a qualified Instrument Technician for the Central Sterilisation and Supply Departments at Sunshine/Joan Kirner Women’s & Children’s Hospitals in Melbourne. You will work in CSSD, sterilising medical devices and supporting the operating suites and wards.

The role requires a Certificate 3 or 4 in Sterilization and at least 2 years of CSSD experience, with a rotating roster and strong computer and organisational skills.

Qualifications

• Certificate 3 or 4 in Sterilization is required.
• Minimum 2 years full-time CSSD experience.
• Good computer skills to navigate tracking systems.
• Rotating roster; Monday to Friday availability.

Responsibilities

• Clean, disinfect and sterilize reusable medical devices per standards.
• Apply sterilization, disinfection and tracking principles in CSSD.
• Navigate the Scancare tracking system to support daily work requirements.
