Job summary

DWS is seeking an experienced CRM & Billing Solution Architect to lead a major transformation program for a regional utility. The role spans architecture governance, solution selection, and transition to operations with vendor evaluation and security considerations.

Hybrid work includes 2 days onsite in Shepparton and 3 days working from home. As the principal architect, you will define current-state, transition-state and future-state models, integrating CRM, billing, payments, metering, and

Qualifications

• Significant experience as a Solution Architect or similar on major technology programs.
• Vendor-agnostic CRM and Billing platform experience with multiple options.
• Define target-state architecture and transition approaches for replacements.
• Lead architecture activities for CRM, Billing or customer platforms.
• Experience delivering SaaS and cloud-based architectures at scale.
• Support technology procurement and vendor evaluation activities.
• Strong knowledge of APIs, integration patterns, and data flows.
• Experience in utilities or highly regulated environments.
• Familiarity with TOGAF or similar EA frameworks.
• Experience with Azure, AWS or Google Cloud.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain end-to-end CRM and Billing transformation architecture.
• Define current, transition, and future-state models.
• Evaluate replacement options for bespoke legacy systems.
• Provide vendor-agnostic guidance while platform options are evaluated.
• Design integration patterns and data migration requirements.
• Ensure security, privacy, and compliance considerations are embedded.
• Lead procurement support and RFP/RFT activities.
• Collaborate with delivery teams through implementation and transition.
