St Vincent’s Hospital Sydney is launching a Critical Care Outreach Nursing team. We invite experiencedRegistered Nurses to join this pivotal service in a permanent full-time role, with an endorsement path toward Nurse Practitioner endorsement and CNC2 level.

The team delivers expert support across the hospital to improve outcomes and patient safety. Eligible candidates will be RN (AHPRA), hold or pursue postgraduate Critical Care qualifications, and have extensive critical care experience.

Qualifications

• Registered RN (Division 1) with AHPRA, endorsed or on track for NMBA NP endorsement.
• Postgraduate qualification in Critical Care.
• Minimum five years' post-registration experience, plus three years in critical care.
• Current Advanced Life Support accreditation.
• Strong clinical reasoning and ability to manage acutely unwell patients.
• Leadership and collaboration within interdisciplinary teams.
• Excellent communication, teaching and patient advocacy skills.

Responsabilités

• Provide advanced assessment and management of acutely deteriorating patients.
• Support early recognition and response to clinical deterioration.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to improve outcomes.
• Demonstrate clinical leadership, education and patient advocacy.
• Support upskilling and capability building of the nursing workforce.
• Contribute to service development, quality improvement, research and evidence-based practice.
