Momentum Energy Pty Ltd is seeking a Credit and Collections Analyst to manage overdue debt for Commercial & Industrial portfolios and support Mass Market debt positions. You will lead collections initiatives, maintain stakeholder relationships, and drive process improvements across credit risk and collections.

Qualifications

• Qualifications in a relevant discipline or solid experience in a credit risk management environment.
• Experience handling Commercial & Industrial accounts, SMBs and Residential accounts.
• Attention to detail and accuracy in calculating credit risk.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Negotiation and conflict resolution abilities.
• Problem solving, analytical skills.
• Plan, prioritize and meet deadlines in changing environments.
• Team player with adaptability and collaborative mindset.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office and Excel.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain relationships with commercial and industrial customers, internal stakeholders, and business partners to support positive customer outcomes and effective debt recovery.
• Resolve customer enquiries, disputes, and payment issues in a professional and timely manner.
• Coordinate with Business Relationship Managers, Accounts Receivable, and the Senior Credit Risk Analyst to resolve outstanding debt matters.
• Manage outstanding debt balances within budgeted thresholds and ageing targets.
• Support the reduction of bad debt risk through proactive collections and portfolio management strategies.
• Investigate and resolve customer disputes, billing issues, and payment concerns to facilitate collection of outstanding balances.
• Administer overdue debt processes including phone calls, correspondence, payment arrangements and escalation activities.
• Perform account reconciliations and ensure the accuracy and integrity of customer account balances.
