Holiday Inn Potts Point is seeking a Commis Chef for a part-time position in Sydney. You will help prepare high-quality dishes for restaurant, bar, room service and banquets, while maintaining hygiene standards and contributing to a collaborative kitchen environment.

Ideal candidates have 6-12 months in a commercial kitchen and a qualification in Commercial Cookery/Culinary Arts. We offer free duty meals, free parking, staff discounts and comprehensive training with IHG Hotels & Resorts.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Prepare and produce high-quality food, according to standard recipes.
• Work closely with the Front of House team to deliver the guest experience, including serving meals.
• Catering for the restaurant, bar, room service and banquets with a la carte and buffet options.
• Champion the identification and reporting of hazards, and evaluate risks associated with them.
• Demonstrate a sound awareness of Crisis Management, HACCP & WHS policies and procedures.
• Receive goods deliveries and maintain invoices for accounting purposes.
