Queensland Corrective Services – Wacol QLD is seeking a Trade Instructor to oversee daily operations of a correctional centre unit and supervise prisoners in line with centre routines. You will contribute to rehabilitation through work and program activities and monitor security of the centre.

You will coordinate prisoner activities, prepare reports, support case management, and ensure compliance with policies and training, while collaborating with staff and external agencies to maintain safe,

• Supervise daily prisoner activities in line with centre routines.
• Participate in rehabilitation through work programs and activities.
• Maintain correctional centre security and compliance with policies.

Responsabilidades

• Supervise the behaviour and activities of prisoners daily.
• Develop productive relationships with staff, management, police and agencies.
• Assist in rehabilitation by supervising work/activities and contributing to case management.
• Identify at‑risk prisoners and advise staff promptly.
• Coordinate prisoner activities to meet quality and production targets.
• Prepare reports on activities and maintain records.
• Respond to emergencies and security breaches in prescribed procedures.
• Participate in training including Certificate III in Correctional Practice (Custodial).
