Job summary

Queensland Government's Queensland Corrective Services in Townsville is seeking a Staff Training Coordinator to design and deliver training for frontline staff. The role requires comprehensive knowledge of training program design, experience in correctional centre operations, and current understanding of competency gaps within the Vocational Qualifications Framework (VQF).

Qualifications

• Design and deliver training programs addressing competency gaps.
• Assess training needs based on competency analysis.
• Deliver training with contemporary knowledge of correctional centre operations.
• Evaluate training effectiveness and plan staff development.
• Coordinate training with centre management and rostering.
• Strong organisational skills and ability to meet timeframes and comply with RTO standards.

Responsibilities

• Provide training needs within the centre's staff resourcing.
• Travel to other locations as required.
• Maintain training records and ensure alignment with VQF standards.
• Liaise with management to adjust training plans.
