Description du poste

Make your governance skills count in a role that supports essential public services

Central Tablelands Water is a small, progressive regional water authority supplying quality, affordable drinking water to more than 15,000 people across the Blayney, Cabonne and Weddin local government areas, with bulk water supplied to Cowra Council. Based in Blayney, it's a close-knit team where your contribution is visible and valued.

We're looking for an experienced Corporate Services Officer to provide high-level administrative and governance support to the General Manager and Executive Managers, and to help keep the organisation's corporate systems running smoothly.

The role

This is a varied, autonomous position. No two days look the same. You'll work with the Executive Management Team, Council and the Audit, Risk and Improvement Committee (ARIC), and general staff.

  • Maintain governance registers, including legislative compliance, policies, contracts, risk, code of conduct, conflicts of interest and insurance
  • Coordinate statutory reporting, and support WHS compliance, and audit cycles
  • Provide secretariat support for Council, ARIC, and other committees, including business papers, agendas, minutes and follow-up actions
  • Prepare reports and correspondence, and maintain Integrated Planning & Reporting (IP&R) documents
  • Support policy development and review, business improvement and performance monitoring
  • Oversee compliant records management, website and social media content, and internal and external communications
  • Assist with recruitment processes and act for the Executive Manager Corporate Services during leave
About you

You work independently, use sound judgement and keep your accuracy and attention to detail when juggling competing priorities. You handle confidential information with integrity and discretion, and you communicate clearly with executives, elected representatives, staff and external stakeholders.

Essential
  • Minimum Certificate IV in WHS, Governance, Business Management or a related field
  • At least five years' experience in governance, WHS, compliance, business administration or a similar regulatory or corporate support role
  • Demonstrated experience maintaining governance, compliance or risk registers
  • Strong skills in preparing reports, business papers and formal correspondence
  • High-level proficiency in Microsoft Office and corporate information systems
  • Commitment to confidentiality, integrity and continuous improvement
  • Current driver licence
Desirable
  • Experience supporting Council, Board or Audit, Risk and Improvement Committee meetings
  • Knowledge of the Local Government Act 1993 (NSW), Work Health and Safety Act 2011 (NSW), GIPA Act 2009 (NSW) and associated regulations
What's on offer
  • 9-day fortnight (35 hours per week, 8:30am - 5:00pm)
  • Flexible work arrangements will be considered
  • Relocation assistance will be considered on an individual basis and discussed with the successful candidate
  • Professional learning and capability development
  • A collaborative, respectful and improvement-focused culture
  • Regional living with easy access to Orange and Bathurst

Applications close Friday 13th November at 5pm.

Central Tablelands Water is committed to a safe, inclusive and respectful workplace and welcomes applications from people of diverse backgrounds. Successful applicants will be subject to referee checks and a pre-employment medical.
