Job summary

MAGNT, the Museum and Art Gallery of the Northern Territory, is recruiting a Corporate Governance and Operations Manager in Darwin. The role leads governance frameworks, risk management and WHS support across MAGNT’s venues and heritage sites.

You will also manage Board and ARC secretariat tasks and handle IT, licences and admin functions. The role is full-time and ongoing, based in Darwin, NT, with the opportunity to contribute to a culturally significant NT institution that welcomes hundreds

• Oversee operational matters including IT, licences and administration.

About the role

Full-time | Ongoing

Location: Darwin, NT

This position is responsible for providing a high standard of corporate governance through the development, implementation and management of effective governance frameworks. The role will monitor policies and standards, manage MAGNT’s Risk Management functions and support WHS across the organisation.

The position is responsible for management of the secretariat function for the MAGNT Board, accurately taking Board Minutes and monitoring action items; and provides secretariat support to the Audit, Risk and Compliance (ARC) Committee and external stakeholders as required.

The position is also responsible for a range of operational matters including IT, management of licences and administration.

Our principal facility since 1981 is on Larrakia Land at Bullocky Point in Darwin, home to internationally renowned cultural and scientific collections and research and exhibition programs.
