Westgold Resources Limited in Western Australia is seeking a hands-on geologist to gain broad exposure across underground operations and core yard activities, reporting to the Senior Mine Geologist. You will process drill core, prepare samples, QAQC, and manage geological data in a fast-paced mining environment.

This permanent full-time role offers a pathway to grow with a major Australian gold producer, with a focus on core processing, sampling, inspections, and integrity of data.

Competenze

• Strong computer literacy with Microsoft Office and data entry systems.
• Forklift licence is highly regarded.
• Current unrestricted WA Class C Driver's Licence.

Mansioni

• Process diamond drill core, including mark-up, cutting, sampling, and photography.
• Prepare samples and chip trays to QAQC standards, including blanks, standards, and duplicates.
• Sample surface and underground stockpiles and assist with geological mapping preparation.
• Maintain consumable stock levels and complete stocktakes.
• Accurately enter geological data and complete daily workplace inspections.

Passionate about geology and looking for an opportunity to gain broad exposure across underground operations and core yard activities? Reporting to the Senior Mine Geologist, you'll be at the forefront of our geology team, supporting resource growth through a blend of underground geology and core yard activities. This is a hands‑on opportunity to gain broad exposure across drill core processing, sampling, QAQC, and geological data management while working in a fast‑paced underground mining environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare samples and chip trays to QAQC standards, including blanks, standards, and duplicates

About You
