Westgold Resources in Western Australia is seeking a driven underground maintenance technician to inspect and repair underground mobile equipment. You will follow planned schedules, participate in maintenance planning, and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives on site near Meekatharra.

The role requires a current C Class WA licence, trade qualifications, and experience in underground mining or heavy industry.

• Current C Class WA driver's licence required.
• Trade qualifications, certificates and licences relevant to the role.
• Experience in underground mining or heavy industry environment.
• Experience with Flux Core, Arc, Oxy, MIG, Air Arc Gouging & Lancing (232 & XLR8 wire).
• Experience with CMMS such as Pronto (desirable).
• Confined Space Ticket (desirable).
• Working at Heights Ticket (desirable).
• Ability to work in an underground environment.
• Physically fit and able to perform manual tasks.
• Desire to maintain a proactive safe working environment.
• MS Office literacy across the suite.
• Solid problem-solving skills and adaptability.

• Full-time, permanent position, based at our Bluebird Operations near Meekatharra, includes base salary + site allowance + wellbeing allowance + up to 15% STI bonus + Superannuation

The Role

• Carry out inspections and repairs on a wide range of underground mobile equipment
• Follow maintenance schedules to minimise disruption to mining operations
• Actively participate in maintenance planning activities to support operational requirements
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives
• Conduct routine inspections to identify, address, and prevent potential equipment issues
• Work collaboratively with the maintenance team to prioritise and schedule repairs for minimal downtime
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all maintenance and repair activities
• Adhere to safety standards, procedures, and protocols at all times to ensure a safe working environment

What I Need

• Current "C" Class Manual Western Australian driver's licence
• Valid and relevant trade qualifications, certificates, and licences
• Experience within an underground mining or heavy industry environment
• Experience in Flux Core, Arc, Oxy, MIG, Air Arc Gouging & Lancing (232 & XLR8 wire)
• Experience with a Computerised Maintenance Management System (CMMS) such as Pronto (desired)
• Confined Space Ticket (desirable)
• Working at Heights Ticket (desirable)
• Ability to work in an underground environment
• Physically fit and able to perform manual tasks
• Desire to maintain a proactive safe working environment
• Reasonable computer skills and literacy, particularly across the MS Office Suite
• Solid problem-solving skills, with the ability to think on your feet and be adaptable
