Job summary

Sunshine Coast Regional Council is seeking a Coordinator Transport Technical Services to lead safe, reliable transport delivery across the Sunshine Coast. Manage critical transport assets, drive smart solutions, and influence investment and improvement programs for road, active transport and parking networks.

You will lead a multidisciplinary team, shape future transport through asset management, and deliver customer-focused outcomes with a strong emphasis on safety and efficiency.

Qualifications

  • Degree qualifications in Civil Engineering, Transport Planning, Electrical Engineering or a related discipline.
  • Proven leadership experience delivering transport operations, infrastructure asset management or technical services.
  • Strong expertise in traffic engineering, road safety and transport network operations.

  • Drive the performance, safety and reliability of the Sunshine Coast's road, active transport and parking networks.

About the Role

Lead the delivery of safe, reliable and sustainable transport services that keep the Sunshine Coast moving. In this key leadership role, you'll oversee the management and performance of critical transport infrastructure assets, ensuring our road, active transport and parking networks continue to meet the needs of a growing community.

About you

A confident and forward-thinking leader, you'll combine technical expertise with commercial acumen to shape the future of transport on the Sunshine Coast.

  • Degree qualifications in Civil Engineering, Transport Planning, Electrical Engineering or a related discipline.
  • Proven leadership experience delivering transport operations, infrastructure asset management or technical services.
  • Strong expertise in traffic engineering, road safety and transport network operations.
  • Experience leading multidisciplinary teams and driving high-performance outcomes.
  • Exceptional stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence and provide trusted technical advice.
  • RPEQ registration will be highly regarded.
