Job summary

YMCA Brisbane is seeking a Coordinator for our Shailer Park Outside School Hours Care service. You will lead a team of educators, develop engaging, child-led programs and ensure safe, compliant operation while fostering strong links with families and local schools.

The role focuses on creating inclusive, vibrant communities where children feel supported to grow through well-structured activities and excellent administration.

Qualifications

• Diploma or teaching qualification in ECEC is required or in progress.
• Demonstrated experience in children's programming and service operations.
• Strong communication, leadership and time-management skills.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the day-to-day operations of the service.
• Develop fun, child-led programs.
• Lead and support a team of educators.
• Ensure high standards in compliance, administration, and safety.
• Build strong connections with families, schools and the local community.

What you'll do

What you'll bring

• A Diploma in Children's Services or related ECEC or Teaching qualification (or studying towards)
• Demonstrated experience in children's programming and service operations
• Strong communication, leadership and time-management skills
• A valid Paid Blue Card (or willingness to obtain)
• Current First Aid and CPR certificate (or willingness to obtain)
• A commitment to creating a safe and inclusive environment for all children
• Familiarity with the National Quality Framework
