Job summary

The Y Australia is seeking an Assistant Coordinator for YMCA St Paul’s Outside School Hours Care to support daily operations, lead child-led programming and guide educators while ensuring safe, enriching care for children.

You will work up to 34.5 hours during term time with increased hours in vacation care, bring qualifications in ECEC or Teaching, and help maintain compliance and positive engagement with families and schools.

Qualifications

• Diploma in Children’s Services or related ECEC/Teaching qualification (or studying towards).
• Demonstrated experience in children’s programming and administration.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• A valid Paid Blue Card (or willingness to obtain).
• Current First Aid & CPR certificate (or willingness to obtain).
• Familiarity with the National Quality Framework.

About the role

We are seeking a capable and motivated Assistant Coordinator to join our team at YMCA St Paul's Outside School Hours Care on a permanent part time basis. You’ll play a key role in supporting the Coordinator with day-to-day operations, lead programming, and help guide a passionate team in delivering safe, fun, and enriching care for children.
