Job summary

St John Vianney’s Primary School, Doonside, NSW, is seeking an experienced Instructional Coach to join us on a temporary full-time basis from 12 October 2026 to 27 November 2026 to backfill a staff member on leave.

Working with the Principal and school leadership, you will strengthen teaching practice through evidence-informed coaching, mentoring, professional learning and collaborative planning to improve student outcomes across literacy and numeracy.

Qualifications

• Accredited tertiary qualification in Education (or a relevant degree with a graduate teaching qualification).
• Accreditation to teach Religious Education.
• Experience in evidence-based literacy and/or numeracy intervention strategies (e.g. R3, EMU, TLP).
• Demonstrated success in improving student learning outcomes.
• Proven ability to work collaboratively to improve practice.

Responsibilities

• Coaching teachers and modelling effective classroom practice to improve student learning outcomes.
• Facilitating professional learning and building teacher capacity through mentoring and collaborative practice.
• Supporting teachers to utilise assessment and data to inform differentiated and personalised learning.
• Analyzing and interpreting student data to guide teaching and learning improvement.
• Contributing to a culture of collaboration, innovation and continuous improvement across the school.

St John Vianney’s Primary School, Doonside, is seeking a skilled and collaborative Instructional Coach to join our team on a temporary full-time basis from 12 October 2026 to 27 November 2026, providing backfill for a team member on leave.

This is an excellent short-term leadership opportunity for an experienced educator who is passionate about developing teacher capability and improving student outcomes.

Working closely with the Principal and school leadership team, you will strengthen teaching practice through evidence-informed coaching, mentoring, professional learning and collaborative planning.
