Contemporary professional knowledge and understanding of the teaching of English across Years 7-12.
Understand the factors that influence learning and teaching; such as effective pedagogies, assessment and reporting and selecting appropriate resources.
Understanding of how to differentiate learning to cater for students needs in order to maximise student growth.
Exemplary professional practice which includes building effective relationships and managing complex interactions, creating and maintaining engaging and intellectually challenging and safe learning environments; planning, implementing and evaluating rigorous and inclusive learning programmes.
Proven capacity and success in leading a team to achieve the school’s plan for improvement.
Use assessments and constructive feedback to inform teaching and learning.
