Job summary

Trippas White Group in Sydney is seeking a professional Cook to deliver quality dishes at SkyFeast, located in Sydney Tower. You'll follow Head Chef recipes and ensure guest satisfaction in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities include preparing ingredients for your station (hot, larder, grill), maintaining stock and mise-en-place, and communicating shortages promptly. Flexible 7-day roster with lunch and dinner shifts.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years’ experience in a kitchen as a cook.
• Cert 3 or trade qualification equivalent.
• Ability to work across hot, larder and grill stations.
• Strong communication and teamwork under pressure.

• Prepare ingredients for your station; hot, larder, grill.
• Maintain stock and mise-en-place; monitor freshness.
• Communicate shortages and needs promptly to head chef/sous.

The Role:

We are looking for a professional and reliable cook to amaze our customers of this iconic venue with excellent cooking according to the Head Chefs recipes and specifications. Our goal is to ensure customer satisfaction, expand our clientele and ensure long term success!

This is an exciting opportunity for a Cook who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment and takes pride in producing dishes for our customers to enjoy!

Key Requirements:

• Minimum 2 years’ experience in a kitchen as a cook – cert 3
• Must have Qualifications or trade experience equivalent
• Ability to prepare food in collaboration with kitchen brigade/team
• Preparation of ingredients for your station/section – hot/larder/grill
• Ability to keep all stock under optimum conditions, mise-en-place is always freshly prepared
• Ensure that you communicate promptly eg: any anticipated shortages to head chef/sous
• Excellent use of various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment and processes
• Optimizing the cooking process with attention to speed and quality
• Immaculate grooming and personal hygiene – enforce strict health and hygiene standards
• You will be reliable, dedicated, willing to continue learning and passionate
• Knowledge of “best cooking” practices while working under pressure
• Have flexible availability for a 7 day rotating roster, Lunch and Dinner shifts
