Job summary

Norma’s Deli in Manly is seeking a Cook to join the opening team and help deliver burgers to order with consistency and care. You’ll manage your station, prep in line with recipes and ensure meals are plated hot and on time for service.

You’ll work a busy service, maintain cleanliness and follow allergen procedures, with opportunities to train others and grow within a lively hospitality group.

Qualifications

• 1+ years' experience in a similar role.
• Good knowledge of WHS, food hygiene and efficient kitchen processes
• Experience in a fast-paced kitchen is essential
• Reliability, punctuality and a positive team attitude
• A love of simple food made well
• Afternoon, evening and weekend availability

Responsibilities

• Setting up your station and completing prep in line with prep lists and par levels
• Cooking and packaging to Romeo's recipes, portions and presentation standards
• Keeping tickets moving during service and communicating clearly with BOH and FOH
• Tasting and checking food throughout service, and following allergen and dietary procedures on every order
• Checking deliveries, storing produce correctly and rotating stock (FIFO)
• Keeping your station and the wider kitchen clean, sanitised and organised
• Completing set-up and pack-down checklists, temperature logs and cleaning records
• Helping train new team members on your section
• Greeting customers when working in view and helping FOH when it's busy

The team behind Norma’s Deli is bringing an exciting new concept to Manly this November, and we’re looking for energetic, passionate and dedicated people to join us for the opening and become part of our ongoing team.

The Role

As a Cook, you’ll prepare burgers to order, ensuring every meal is fresh, consistent and made to Romeo's standard.

You’ll manage your section of the kitchen, ensuring everything is prepped for service and burgers are cooked to recipe and served hot, consistently and on time. You take pride in quality food, maintaining a clean workspace and working efficiently during busy service.
