Job summary

UPA is seeking a Casual Cook for Oolong Hostel in Howlong, NSW. The role requires knowledge of HACCP standards, strong time management and team communication. Experience in aged care, flexibility for weekend shifts and proficiency with Microsoft Office is desired.

The Opportunity

We are looking for a Casual Cook to join our team at Oolong Hostel in Howlong, NSW.

The successful candidate will ideally have:

• Knowledge and experience in working to the compliance of the Food Safety Standards to HACCP level
• Strong time management and communication skills
• Understanding of residents' rights, person-centred care and dignity of risk
• Ability to manage change efficiently and effectively
• Ability to use the Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel & Outlook)
• Certificate III & IV in Commercial Cookery/Hospitality
• Food Safety Supervisor Certificate
• Understanding of Aged Care Quality Standards and special dietary needs
• Experience in Aged Care desirable
• Current First Aid Certificate desirable
• Excellent communication skills
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team
• Availability to work weekend shifts
