Job summary

UPA in Jindera is seeking a Cook to join our team. The role requires knowledge of HACCP and Food Safety Standards, strong time management and communication, and a commitment to residents’ rights and person-centred care. Weekend availability is desired and expected as part of our roster.

Applicants should possess a Certificate III/IV in Commercial Cookery or related Hospitality qualification, plus a Food Safety Supervisor Certificate. Join a supportive not-for-profit team serving NSW communities.

The Opportunity

We are looking for a Cook to join our team at Jindera.

  • Knowledge and experience in working to the compliance of the Food Safety Standards to HACCP level
  • Strong time management and communication skills
  • Understanding of residents rights, person-centred care and dignity of risk
  • Ability to manage change efficiently and effectively
  • Ability to use the Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel & Outlook)
  • Certificate III & IV in Commercial Cookery/Hospitality
  • Food Safety Supervisor Certificate
  • Understanding of Aged Care Quality Standards and Special Dietary needs
  • Experience in Aged Care desirable
  • Current First Aid Certificate desirable
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Team player who is highly motivated
  • Availability to work weekend shifts
