The Sovereign Reception Centre in Northcote, Melbourne VIC, is seeking a qualified Cook for a full-time permanent role. The successful candidate will join a professional kitchen team, preparing dishes to established recipes and maintaining high food quality standards.

Essential requirements include a Certificate IV in Commercial Cookery, 1 year of experience, HACCP knowledge, and the ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays. Visa sponsorship may be available for suitable candidates.

Formación

• Certificate IV in Commercial Cookery or equivalent qualification.
• Minimum 1 year of professional kitchen experience as a Cook.
• Strong knowledge of food preparation techniques and HACCP.
• Ability to work under pressure during busy service periods.
• Good communication and teamwork; roster evenings, weekends, holidays.
• Food safety standards and hygiene regulations.
• Right to work in Australia.

Responsabilidades

• Prepare and cook dishes according to established recipes and quality standards.
• Ensure all food preparation meets HACCP and food safety regulations.
• Monitor food quality, presentation, and portion control during service.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of kitchen areas and equipment.
• Work collaboratively with other kitchen staff during busy service periods.
• Assist with stock monitoring, FIFO rotation, and proper food storage.
• Follow workplace health and safety procedures.
• Assist with menu preparation and dietary requirements as directed.
• Participate in training and development as required.
• Perform other duties as reasonably required by management.
