Job summary

Ideal candidates have a positive attitude, basic commercial cookery qualifications, and a minimum of 12 months cooking experience. Training opportunities and seasonal menu changes are offered within a collaborative kitchen environment.

Qualifications

• Relevant qualifications in commercial cookery are preferred but not essential.
• At least 12 months of experience as a Cook is essential.

Responsibilities

• Punctual and presentable.
• Open to learning.
• Positive, can-do attitude in a small team.
• Assist in food preparation for service to quality standards.
• Maintain cleanliness and health and safety in the kitchen.
• Proper storage, labelling and use of all food to prevent waste and control costs.
• Optimize food quality and customer satisfaction.
• Work with Head Chef to run the kitchen smoothly and efficiently.
• Assist with menu planning, inventory, scheduling and ordering of kitchen supplies.
