Job summary

Centennial Homestead in Sydney’s Centennial Park is looking for a passionate and reliable Casual Cook to join our busy kitchen team, delivering across breakfast, lunch and all‑day menus, and supporting weddings, private functions and events.

In this role you’ll work closely with the Head Chef and Sous Chef to ensure smooth service, maintain high food quality, safety and presentation, and thrive in a fast-paced, team‑driven environment.

• Preparing and cooking food to a consistently high standard

• Supporting the kitchen team with functions, events and special occasions
• Ensuring food is prepared and presented to venue standards
• Maintaining strong food safety, hygiene and kitchen standards
• Keeping workstations clean, organised and well maintained
• Following recipes, portion controls and kitchen procedures
• Assisting with stock rotation, storage and kitchen organisation
• Working efficiently as part of a team during busy services
• Assisting with cleaning and closing-down procedures as required
• Contributing to a positive and professional kitchen environment

Centennial Homestead is looking for a passionate and reliable Casual Cook to join our kitchen team.

Located in the heart of Centennial Park, Centennial Homestead is a busy, vibrant venue serving an all-day menu seven days a week, with breakfast and lunch at the heart of our operation. Alongside our daily service, we host a range of events, including weddings, private functions and special occasions that bring the kitchen to life at night.

We’re looking for a Casual Cook who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment, takes pride in delivering great food and enjoys being part of a strong, hardworking team.

The Role
