Delaware North Australia is hiring a part-time Commis Chef to join our team at Blacktown Exercise and Technology Hub (BEST) in New South Wales. As a Commis Chef, you will be responsible for collaborating with senior chefs to create dishes that make a lasting impression.

Qualificações

• Previous experience as a Commis Chef is required and proven experience in an a’ la carte restaurant or function service is preferred.
• Solid background in kitchen operations.
• Minimum Level 3 Certificate in Commercial Cookery and a Food Safety certificate, or willing to obtain at onboarding.
• A passion for food and creative flair.
• Demonstrated track record meeting financial targets for food and labor costs.

Responsabilidades

• Prepare a range of dishes in a high-volume production setting.
• Follow recipes for menu preparation, ensuring adherence to cooking guidelines and standards.
• Execute food preparation tasks, showcasing expertise in food presentation.
• Maintain consistent cleanliness and hygiene standards in the kitchen area.
• Ensure HACCP and WHS compliance, displaying a strong commitment to meeting Food Safety standards including conducting temperature and quality checks and effectively managing cross-contamination.
