Calvary The Brelsford- Coffs Harbour is seeking a casual cook to join the kitchen team, coordinating delivery of high-quality meals for residents and supporting the Chef in food safety and auditing. The role involves cooking and ensuring diets and standards are met.

You will bring experience in residential care or health settings, with knowledge of menu planning, stock management and allergen handling, supported by relevant certificates.

Qualificações

• Experience in a similar role in the residential care or health care sectors.
• Working knowledge of menu planning, ordering, managing stock levels, IDDSI, staff supervision and allergen management.

About the role

As a Cook you will help our kitchen team and coordinate the delivery of high-quality food services for our residents. Working with the Chef you will be responsible for food safety and auditing and of course cooking!

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and oversee the preparation of daily meals for residents that meet their special dietary requirements eg; texture modified, allergen compliant, culturally relevant.
• Ensures all meals prepared and served are fresh, well presented, appetising and aromatic.
• Maintain compliance with all relevant food safety standards and codes.
• Liaise with residents and families to ensure high levels of satisfaction with food services within the Home..

What you bring

• Experience in a similar role in the residential care or health care sectors.
• Working knowledge of menu planning, ordering, managing stock levels, IDDSI, staff supervision and allergen management.
• Certificate III in Commercial Cookery (minimum)
• Food Safety Supervisor Certificate (Health Care Competencies)
