Job summary

Calvary is seeking a Cook for a casual position in Coffs Harbour to join the kitchen team and support the delivery of high-quality meals for residents. You will assist the Chef with cooking, food safety, and auditing to ensure compliance and excellent service.

This role offers an opportunity to work in a supportive team environment with above award wages and potential for career progression within Calvary’s care facilities in the region.

Qualifications

• Experience in a similar role in the residential care or health care sectors.
• Working knowledge of menu planning, ordering, managing stock levels, IDDSI, staff supervision and allergen management.
• Certificate III in Commercial Cookery (minimum).
• Food Safety Supervisor Certificate (Health Care Competencies).

Responsibilities

• Prepare and oversee the preparation of daily meals for residents that meet dietary requirements.
• Ensure meals are fresh, well presented, appetising and aromatic.
• Maintain compliance with food safety standards and codes.
• Liaise with residents and families to ensure satisfaction with food services.

About the role

As a Cook you will help our kitchen team and coordinate the delivery of high-quality food services for our residents. Working with the Chef you will be responsible for food safety and auditing and of course cooking!
