Nido Yokine is seeking a Cook to join our childcare team, delivering nutritious meals and maintaining high kitchen standards. You will be hands-on, support healthy habits for children, and work within a collaborative education environment.

Required Food Safety Supervisor Certificate and the ability to manage dietary needs. Certificate II/III in Commercial Cookery is desirable, WWCC valid, and experience in childcare is a plus.

Qualifications

• Certificate II/III in Commercial Cookery is desirable.
• Food Safety Supervisor Certificate is required.
• Experience in childcare or aged care setting preferred.
• Valid WWCC (Working With Children Check) must be held.

Responsabilités

The Role: Cook

• Cook delicious, healthy and nutritionally balanced meals using our Nido Menus
• Purchase food and supplies for the kitchen
• Ensure dietary and allergy requirements and restrictions for every child are supported by having thorough knowledge of risk minimisation and communication plans
• Maintain hygiene and cleanliness in the kitchen at all times

What You’ll Bring

• Certificate II or III in Commercial Cookery - desirable
• Food Safety Supervisor Certificate - required
• Experience working in a childcare or aged care setting
• Valid WWCC
• Strong understanding of allergens and dietary requirements
• Please note: Any candidate employed from 1 October must provide evidence of completion of the mandatory National Child Safety Training via Geccko, including Foundation Training (courses 1&2) and Advanced Training (courses 3&4), or be willing to obtain these certifications prior to employment.
