Job summary

Nido Piara Waters is hiring a Cook in Western Australia to join the Nido Early School team. You will prepare healthy, nutritionally balanced meals for children using Nido menus, while modelling positive eating habits and supporting dietary needs.

You will purchase kitchen supplies, maintain high hygiene standards, and collaborate with educators to ensure allergen awareness and safety. Certificate II/III in Cookery and Food Safety Supervisor Certificate preferred/required, WWCC valid.

Qualifications

• Certificate II or III in Commercial Cookery is desirable.
• Food Safety Supervisor Certificate is required.
• Experience in childcare or aged care setting.
• Valid WWCC.
• Knowledge of allergens and dietary requirements.
• National Child Safety Training via Geccko or willingness to obtain.

Responsibilities

• Cook delicious, healthy and nutritionally balanced meals using our Nido Menus.
• Purchase food and supplies for the kitchen.
• Ensure dietary and allergy requirements and restrictions for every child are supported by risk minimisation and communication plans.
• Maintain hygiene and cleanliness in the kitchen at all times.

What You’ll Bring
