Job summary

Fiveight Venues Pty Ltd in Perth is seeking passionate Commis Chefs and Chef de Parties to support the summer peak period at our iconic Cooee and other venues. You'll assist with mise en place and run a section during service in a fast-paced, premium dining environment.

We offer flexible casual hours (roughly 10–30 per week), penalties rate, discounted meals across venues, onsite parking, and opportunities for learning and development.

Qualifications

• Experience in premium casual or fine dining kitchens.
• Love for food and craft of cooking.
• Strong work ethic and attention to detail.
• Able to work under pressure in a high-performing team.
• Current Australian working rights and Food Handler Certificate.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and present high-quality dishes with consistency.
• Work with the kitchen team to deliver exceptional service.
• Complete daily mise en place efficiently and minimise waste.
• Maintain a safe, clean kitchen environment.
• Uphold quality standards and support efficient operations.

About the Role

We are seeking passionate and driven Commis Chefs and Chef de Parties to to support our summer peak period. You'll assist with mise en place and run a section during service periods, this is your chance to thrive in a fast-paced, premium dining environment that celebrates creativity and excellence.

We're seeking team members who can provide consistent availability across the summer period.

What You’ll be Doing:

• Prepare and present high-quality dishes with consistency, care and attention to detail.
• Work collaboratively with the kitchen team to deliver exceptional service and memorable guest experiences.
• Complete daily mise en place efficiently while minimising waste and maintaining organised workstations.
• Maintain a safe, clean and compliant kitchen environment, with a strong focus on food safety and hygiene.
• Contribute to the success of the venue by upholding quality standards, supporting efficient operations and taking pride in your craft.

• Experience in premium casual or fine dining kitchens
• A genuine love for food, flavour, and the craft of cooking
• Strong work ethic, attention to detail, and a hunger to learn
• Ability to thrive under pressure and contribute to a high-performing team
• Hold relevant food safety knowledge and a commitment to safe work practices
• Applicants must have current Australian working rights.
• Hold a validFood Handler Certificate
